Death (or New Year's Eve) by chocolate but first: Thanksgiving revisited

We wanted to go out for a nice dinner on New Year's Eve. However, living in Italy can be is challenging when trying to eat paleo-style. Because how can a diet built upon super-refined, white flour pasta and creamy sheep ricotta possibly aid in our attempts to behave? The answer is: it cannot! We must improvise.

Our solution will be to enjoy delicious paleo appetizers at home before attempting to locate a famous chocolate shop in downtown Catania. Yes, you found the contradiction. Paleo appetizers. Then, chocolate shop. Where hot chocolate requires a spoon. Guilty.

Before we hit the town, we're trying the Thanksgiving stuffing meatballs and simple cranberry sauce (below) from my new Practical Paleo cookbook (my Christmas present from Nathan, yay!).

Go big or go home. Happy New Year's Eve, everyone!
